Which KADEE Uncoupler

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

I use the under track delayed uncoupler on 90% of my sidings.
I also use the hand operated uncoupler a lot too.

Personally I just used the 'above ties between the rails' kind. They were ok but also kind of frustrating.

We have those at the club, and we have larger magnets under the ties. The large magnet under the ties is really good.

In addition to that we also have electro-magnet uncouplers with push-button activation. THOSE are great, but I would have probably chosen a different button. The ones installed in our control boards are very small and they kind of jab your finger a bit.

Maybe the button is missing off the top of the switch  so your finger is pushing on the shaft of the switch

Under the track delayed uncoupler. It works OK if you have it on a straight piece of track. You have to do the curly shuffle with it.
