My father passed his some model trains on to me after his death about 20 years ago. Part of the collection is a Long Island Railroad Class G-53sd 4-6-0 custom brass engine with coal car. It is in extremely good condition from as far as I know with my limited knowledge of model trains. The Cat. No.ST-200. It has its original box and most of the packageing inside that hasn't turned to dust. The picture of the original train it was modeled after and the garuntee certificate that originaly came with it. I understand this site is mostly modelers who actively use the pieces they sell but I was wondering if anyone could help me with an estimated value ... I understand value is in the eye of the buyer but a round ballpark number can give me a number to start with. This train was baught I estimate according what my dad told me in the early 60's. Thanks for any help.
