Greetings all. I recently acquired a set of Walthers UP subsidiary wood side cabooses (#932-37541). I will have some assembly to take care of as the set had never been opened. Assembly will involve attaching the sun shades (yellow in color) and hand rails (red in color, not the maroon color of the roofs). Removal of the parts from their sprues has exposed a good deal of unpainted plastic. Anyone here know of the proper color match (manufacturer, color code, etc.) for these parts?
BTW, these cabooses are sweet!
Thanks. Jason in Colorado.
That is a problem that has plagued many of us since plastic kits have been around. Since paint will vary in shade from batch to batch some, your best bet will be to find a yellow that is close to it and then hide the discrepancy with some weathering. same for the red on those handrails.
