I was in Minneapolis-St. Paul this past week. Among other things, I made a return visit to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum in St. Paul.
It truly is one of the finest open-to-the-public layouts in the U.S.
I've posted some pictures and a link to more photos on my blog at

It's one of the coolest layouts I've seen. It makes me want to switch to O scale two rail sometimes. Of course I don't have a 2000 square foot train room to hold it!

I have been there many times. Todays local paper had a great story about the club assisting in the removal of an O scale Twin Cities based Milwaukee Road layout that was built by someone out in CA. They had to cut a 10 foot hole in the wall several stories up and remove sections of the layout one by one. Hoisting it down to the ground below to be trucked back to MN.
That layout will be on display in the model railroad museum thats being set up in the "chimney" building thats part of Bandana Square (where the twin cities club is located).
