Kudos to Kato. I just finished installing a DZ125 decoder in a Kato HO NW2. It was one of the most difficult installs that I have done, but the most rewarding. This little gem is awsome! It pulls like mad, is very quiet, and it's slow speed is impressive. I have 3 Kato engines and they are my best performers. I wish Kato still produced engines from the 1950's era that I model. I have several Atlas/Kato engines that are good performers, as well.

Well that's a glowing review. Do you have any images of the install process or final product? Possibly a video of its smooth quiet running?
Mute the sound on your video... and we'll really be impressed by how quiet it is.
Whenever I see Kato stuff for sale on ebay it always fetches a high price. That's one indication of how good it's products are.

No loud music or videos, just quiet. I got the install info at tcsdcc.com and then modified it slightly to my liking. TCS has a lot of dcc installations for various locomotives and situations. Their decoders and warranty are good too.
The ebay prices seem to be quite high lately, especially when trying to find quality at "reasonable" prices.

Yeah some of my best locos are Katos for sure.
I just found a couple I forgot I had.
Thanx for the link to TCS, great info!
