Hi all,

While I am currently trying to do an HO layout, I want to do a small Christmas layout on a buffet by the front door. Since it is only 18" deep, I will have to do it in N scale. I would like to do an early to mid 1800's Christmas layout. Has anyone ever made an N scale DeWitt Clinton, or John Bull, or Prussian engine and car set? I know I can get them in HO and O, but I really would like to find any of them in N. Thanks for any advice. :)

There aren't many choices for old time engines. One is the Bachmann 4-4-0. It is probably the oldest looking engine. The Atlas 2-6-0 is the other choice. The Atheran 2-8-0 is another choice.

Bachmann also makes some old time wooden passenger cars that are 1860's vintage. Atheran makes 2 different types of wooden passenger cars that are more 1880's vintage.

Hope this helps!
Glenn
