Hello all, my newbie self is thinking about installing some turnouts into my basic layout but im confused on the operation and wiring of these. I know there are two types, remote and manual but Im confused on how to wire these and what else I need besides the piece of track. If i get the remote, will i be able to control it with my wireless dcc controller?
thanks for the help.
manual is the one actuated by hand (hence "manual"), no wires obviously needed. remote has switch machine or switch motor, device that physically actuates the point. if you want to control remote turnout from your DCC cab you will need to install stationary decoder of proper type for your switch machine and configure it accordingly.
