Is there any advantage in using tortoise machines controlled by a Switchit over using smail machines?

Thanks,

I'm not too versed on the Switchit, but do have a bunch of Tortoise switch machines. The Tortoise really have that prototypical action when throwing the points. I use a variable setting transformer to power the machines and I run at 6 volts. DTDP mini-switches mounted on the fascia near the machines control the power to the machines. The DPDT handles in the "Up" position indicate normal turnout settings.

I did use NJ relays on another layout and the "Snapping" sound was at best.
