It's kind of unique, the "Salt" train as it from the Cargill Salt mine in Lansing New York to Sayre Pa. , Then the cars are shuttled off to the different NS yards like to Gang Mills , Then To Binghamton, and dispersed to parts unknown. Ithaca RR is a unique little Short line, owned by some dude in somewhere like Arkansas , down that part of the world vs. local. And the line is former NS, Con Rail, Lehigh Valley before that. Lots of history. I'm glad it's still in use Maybe someday a company like R.J. Corman will buy it and develop it further. That track used to go all the way to Auburn NY.
