Here is my idea on a trackside detail for the railroad. This one happens to be a large detail

Yep, you guessed it, A caved in tunnel.
I built it as a box, so I could do the detailing while I had it on the bench.
I'll take more photos after I install it and built the mountain around it.

What a great idea! Now how many tandem truck loads will it take to build the moutain scenery? seriously hope you will keep us posted, man that is one interesting project.

Can I offer a suggestion?

You may want to consider weathering / distressing the timbers on your portal. They're all in great condition, without a crack and not even grey from weather. So, if they're in such great shape, how did the roof collapse? Possibly add some indication of what caused the problem (wreck, fire, landslide, etc) to further the story.
