I have the torotise swich machine its intalled and i have been using it for a wile its great. My question is what do you do with the other connections form the torotise all i use to make it work is the #1 and #8 connection. I heard its for signals, and can i get some pictures of people that are using all 8 connections from the torotise for something to work.
got some other questions
1) do you think it would be worth powering my frogs, i have no problems running a locmomtive over the switch.
2) when i get a signal system set up is that all the connections i need to hook up to the signal and can someone give my advice on a good signal system that would have the same signals as on the Powder River Coal Basin.
If you have no problems with the frogs I wouldn't bother. I haven't done mine. (Peco, Atlas, & ME)
I think the signals you're refering to don't have anything to do with switch position but would be set up for occupancy, like CTC.
Mine just show turnout direction for now, I'll be adding signals later on tho.
