Being totally new to N scale and last time I had Hornby HO/OO 30 odd years ago as a kid. N was necessary as I only have a small apartment I was to be honest not expecting too much... But WOW!!

Overall I am stunned by the level of detail and precision of N scale and the quality level here even the "books" for the trains reeks of quality. Literally! Oh "new" smell of them 🤪
Very very happy day 😁
I want to collect all the worlds iconic high speed trains (steam ones too like flying Scotsman etc as well).
French TGV is next on my list.

...Oh these arrived the other day too, 2 cheap and cheerful but very fun little "chibi" pocket line trains for track testing and more dangerous experimentation 🤣 will likely turn them into track cleaning minions.
They run really well for the money and pleasantly impressed with these too.

Kato makes great stuff. Can't go wrong with their products!
Yes I was really impressed with the track sets too, I ordered 2 Master sets (the ones with the siding, that has quite a lot of track and R315mm curves) and 4 powered routing points and 2 DC controllers.
I also bought the outer oval R345mm I think. So lots of layout experimenting to do, although I do have a neat layout planned 😄
The only downside is the noise from the roadbed but I found running it on cork bed on top of xps foam anyway takes that down a lot. Cork is awesome and I found a relatively cheap supply from IKEA of all places, they have these 3mm thck sheets of it for about 9 euros a sheet. Compared to the art stores who sell it almost twice that.
