Here' some photos of my layout. I know it's not much, but it's a work in progress. You may notice that I like to save money by building large buildings (roundhouse, sawmill) out of corrugated cardboard.

That one scene where the cabooses and the RDC are on the hill is the Red Caboose Getaway (the real one is in Sequim, WA). I used the logo from a real Red Caboose Getaway soap bar wrapper for the sign on the layout.

Well, I got into one of those major re-design moods again... and followed through. This time, I'm sure it will be the last time I ever tear up everything and start over. The last setup had too many sharp curves, bad joints, etc, etc, etc, so...

It is no longer a lumber company, but a railroad museum with an operating heritage railway. The mill was removed completely, and the roundhouse put in its place, and the area where the roundhouse used to be is now a freight yard for storing the museums freight rolling stock and cabeese. In front of the freight yard is the three-track passenger yard, complete with passenger depot.

A loop for contionous operation runs around the roundhouse, and for point-to-point, there's the line out the old trestle, which passes by the caboose motel (which I kept from the previous setup)

The area out by the old trestle will probably become an outdoor logging museum, complete with steam donkeys, skid shacks, and maybe even a spar tree.

I'll try to provide some photos soon on a new thread. Today, though, is
"CLEAN UP THE LAYOUT ROOM DAY", so I'll be busy with that as well.:)
