If you were going to buy a nice DCC setup for a large layout, what would be your preference? need to know the company that gives the best Tech Support, etc.
I'm helping someone to build a giant layout & he wants to know the best DCC that he should get.
Just some idea's. I know this has been brought up many times in the past, but, w/a lot of the newer systems, what do you think is the best of the best?

We switched over to Digitrax, and found it to work great for us. What I like most about the system is how it can expand to fit whatever you want it to. The loconet can be hooked up to a computer, and you can add as many boosters, throttles, automatic reversing units, and plug in ports as you want. If you splurge and get the duplex equipped controller (which we are saving up to get...eventually lol) you have the freedom to move around a large layout. Another benefit to pretty much unlimited panels and ports and boosters, is that you can have many operators and controllers going as once, if your friend would ever want to make that into a club sort of thing. I know other systems have wireless too, but their Super Empire Builder xtra has the wireless throttle, booster, and panel all as a package. It is a bit more complex I have heard, compared to other systems. But I feel if you can figure it out, you can do whatever you want with the system.
