And, yes- this is about the only video that I would rather have blaring rock music in the background. That little engine sound was terribly annoying.

I suspect it was a motor and not an engine. More than likely an 8 bladed helicopter and that was some superb flying and video as well. Well done and thanks for the link!

That looks like a pretty realistic model railroad you have there!:p:p That gives a different perspective on things. Nice.

Interesting video. Didn't take long to turn the audio down. :D

Can't help but wonder when such activities will be declared "potential terrorist drone actions" and banned in today's wacky world. Until then, maybe more cool vids will be forthcoming.

He mentions in the comments that he was using a GoPro Hero3 Black, which is the latest and greatest compact HD camera ($$$$). He also says he was using his quad, but doesn't specify any further. It could be a packaged job like the AR Drone 2 ( http://ardrone2.parrot.com/ ) or a custom quad designed for long flights and heavy lifting. But he also says it only took a little over 10 minutes from start to finish, and the AR Drone 2 can carry a GoPro camera for that long, and have enough range to do all that filming.
