I have two T55 ES44DC locomotives with sound. One is version "1" on the orange dot on the box and the other is version "3". The version "1" runs slower than the version "3". I had been in touch with Brian Marsh at his e-mail address of T55 and he told me I needed the PR2 or PR3 before he would send me the upgrade. I finally got the PR3 and have been e-mailing him for the software upgrade, but have received no further response since sometime in early Feb when he was out of town.

I have no idea why Brian isn't responding to my e-mails anymore. Does anyone else have a current e-mail address for him.
Does anyone else have this software upgrade? I checked with Athearn and Digitrax. The whole package for the decoders was delivered to T55 by Digitrax as a special order and they no longer have any data on it.
 
How long ago did you email him, before the sale of T55 to Athearn?

Traditionally, if I remember right, Brian was always slow at replying to emails.
 
Since T55 is no more, and Athearn only bought the tooling for various locomotives from T55, it seems like your only hope is that Overland will still provide some support for the engines T55 sold before Overland sold the plastic division. Since that sale was completed in September, 2008, you can try e-mailing or phoning Overland Models and see if that gets you anything, but I think that Brian and Overland have pretty well washed their hands of the T55 business.
 


I had been corresponding with Brian from late Dec through late Jan when he stated that he was on his way back home from Maine. He seemed to respond quite readily each time. I haven't heard from him since despite many e-mails from home as well as from work in the event his computer is kicking my e-mail address to the junk folder or suspected SPAM.
