Switch Layout Question

I first what to thank everyone for their response to my post concerning Switch Voltage (http://www.modelrailroadforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11866) and after some final wiring I've decided I'm not really satisfied with these switches, they seem sloppy and antiquated . Although they function as they should there are some of my turnouts that are not visible during operation so I decided there's got to be a better way of turnout position detection and/or position.
I've sketched out a simple switch machine layout and using SPDT Mini Toggles (MOM/ON OFF/ON) I like to also wire in indicator LED lights ( Red/ Green) on the panel board to indicate switch position to machine. Could someone simplify with a simple diagram how to wire the lights to the toggles?
Thanks again for the advice, as a newcomer I'm pretty much lost on the electronics part and hope I haven't lost anyone on my translation of components and setup.

Check out the switches at http://www.sigmaswitches.com/browser.html. They have the lights built into the switch, saving you some extra wiring. The real issue you face is that simply because you throw the switch, it doesn't mean you can rely on the points actually being in the right direction. If the points stick, the position light will still show the switch is in the right position and you can't see the points to verify if that's true. Check out http://acculites.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25&products_id=240 for a detection system that will let you know the actual position of the points when the switch is thrown. I'm assuming you're using DCC here.
