Hi. First of all I'am a noob at dcc still just trying to wrap my head around it. I picked up a Bachmann E-z command dcc ho gp-30 at a train show. It seemed like the thing to do/ It's a 28 step speed control. I have a Digitrax super empire builder unit. I think I followed the instructions on page 78 on how to change the status of the decoder. The DB 150 beeped and the loco moved like it took the command. Put the DT 400 throttle in function, entered the loco number and nothing. But if I put in the defult number to run a DC loco it moves? I'm so new at this, Not sure what I did or did not do. Any ideas for a digitrax for dummy. Thanks. CF.

I don't have a Bachman unit but I'd imagine it's the same for most brands...
Once you hit enter did you hit "Y" for the second step, I believe it's add?
I'll have to look at one of mine, I do it so fast now I don't remember what button I'm hitting anymore.
Thanks Rico. Went back and tried it again. I think I wasn't getting it to read status 28 right. Followed digitrax's simi clear instructions to me and what you said and got it to work. Thanks again. CF.
