This was having some troubles running smoothly so against my better judgement, I disassembled it. What I found was a loose, toothed belt. The motor runs fine, I just need a new belt. Wish me luck finding a belt and reassembling this.

I found and ordered the belt, I sure hope I remember how to assemble it when it comes in.

Lost one of the worm drive bearings. Do any of you have one in your junk box you could send me? Bachmann only sells the complete motor set.

Any chance an Athearn side frame bearing would fit? I have those. And some clunker Bachmann steam....not sure any are belt drive though.
 
Never mind, I got some young eyes to take look and he found it! I just have to wait for the belt now.
 
That is great news for sure. I was studying your pictures trying to see if we could make one from brass tube or modify another style to work.
 
I was thinkin the same thing. I took some measurement's.
