Yep, the Southern bought several surplus dome cars from the N&W, after Amtrak had taken over on the N&W, to promote ridership on the Southern Crescent. I think the CofG had one on the Nancy Hanks. It was a good try but it ultimately didn't make any difference. I don't know if any of these cars are still in existence.
