I am in the process of re-doing my layout to model South Shore Line freight and passenger operations. Any tips on where to find modern passenger cars? I checked both Walthers and Bachmann and they don't have them.
You might want to subscribe to the Shore Line Interurban Historical Society at http://www.shore-line.org/Current_Issue.html. They have articles about models of current cars and kitbashing existing models of other communter lines. As far as I know, the only models of modern South Shore line cars are in O scale. The CSS, freight arm of the South Shore, is a lot easier, since they use diesels on the whole line. The roster is 10 GP38-2's, a model easy to find in HO.
