Hey guys,

I'm really starting to get into my N scale layout of the Alabama Gulf railroad.

I plan to run one powerpack, and possibly a seperate insulated block for a switcher - so bascially, just cab control.

I mention this, because I know some locomotives are DCC/Sound equipped, but I do not plan to go that route - due to money, etc.

Does anyone make just like a little speaker and soundboard for model railroads? Maybe one that just sits in a boxcar, or something? I think it would be cool to still have the thumping diesel sound, along with a horn and bell. :)

Thanks!
Kyle

Kyle, there are DC sound systems available for units, PLUS MRC makes a good external speaker system.

Thanks Josh - yeah, I found the MRC external unit with controller and speakers in my Schrader's catalog. Is that system good?

As well, who makes a regular DC system? This sounds intriuging...

Kyle
