All three were painted and decaled. Each has many detail parts applied according to the actual engines. The first two pictures are of Norfolk Southern C40-9W 9754. The second picture is of Norfolk Southern Hi-Nose GP38-2 5144 and the last picture is of Norfolk Southern (Conrail) SD40-2 3422. All of the engines are Athearn shells. The SD40-2 is an old SD40-2 shell modified so that it will be held on with the couplers rather than the dimples on the side of the chassis. This one still needs some handrails though. I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think!!!
The dash 9 looks great!! You even moved the headlights up where they belong and plated over the nose lights.
Do you need a set of handrails for the sd40-2? I have a couple of pair somewheres that came of 2 UP's that I scrapped. I'd be happy to send a pair to you if you need them.
If you cant tell, I'm rather partial to the catfish myself. Check my link to my webpage for just a taste of my roster of Fish.
You are partial to the catfish. haha... How did you do the SD70m-2? It looks good. Yeah, if you have a spare handrail I would gladly take it or both because I have a Hi-nose SD40-2 that I just finished as well. Let me know then. Thanks
Man, that Conrail engine looks good! Good job breathing life into one of those old Athearn offerings! Have you tried building any Cannon and Company cabs for any of your locos yet? Its the new standard for me now...(thanks Josh!) I like the heat discoloration on the stack of that Dash 9!
