I need a set of passenge cars for N scale Alco PA2/PB2 D&RGW. I found a set of Kato El Capitan cars on ebay but they were designed for the E7 and there is a height difference between the E7 and the Alco PA2/PB2 locomotives. Can someone tell me how much the difference is? If it's only slight it might not be noticable but it it's huge then it's a no go.
There were no passenger cars designed exclusively for the PA, or any other first generation passenger diesel, for that matter. The cars in the Kato set were hauled just as frequently by both PA's and F units as they were by E units. The Santa Fe used all three types of locomitves on the El Capitan. Don't worry about height differences between locomotive models. These same height diferences were also present on the prototype.

Thanks, I purchased a set of N scale Kato California zephyr cars on ebay that I think will work nicely with my Alco's.
