HO all the way!
Hey guys, I am wanting to model a small creek under the track here. It is dual mainline and the foam is 1" thick. The area I have open for a bridge is 6" deep x 5 7/8" across. Any suggestions or ideas here??

Im thinkin the easiest might be to kit bash a couple Atlas plate girder bridges together, but am hoping for something a lil more exciting then that...

I was thinin about building a wood trestle for that....might not be a bad idea...just gotta look at some to see how to do it

CbarM- If this is for those SD40-2s and C40-8Ws that i drew up, you may want to reconsider that wooden trestle. In the modern day an age, locos like the ones the Western Plains had drawn up would be pushing the limit on a wooden trestle, and would have to slow down to cross it, not common on a mainline, especially not a double tracked one. The Atlas plate-girder bridge would really be a perfect fit for this situation on the prototype, but you have other options. Its your railroad so you should do what you want, but im just trying to let you know what the prototypes would likely do. Not my picture but check out the bridge below, i think itll work for you. Same concept as the plate girder bridges, but because the supports are underneath it has a bit more charm to it
