Do the couplers supplied with the Kato N NW2 loco (or any Kato N loco's for that matter) work with the between-the-ties Kato uncoupler (short track) ???? Or do I need to convert to Micro Trains couplers ?? My freight cars are exclusively Micro Trains, but I dont wanna change the loco's couplers if I dont have to. Thanx to any respondents....
I have a Kato RS2 with Kato knuckle couplers. It also came with Rapidos. The knuckles on mine don't have trip pins, and don't particularly like Micro-Trains couplers. I'm sure there's a conversion kit out there... mine is still waiting for DCC (and a railroad to run it on!) so I haven't checked.
I think Kato since came out with magnetic couplers. I don't know if they'll interface to MTs.
