As a child I bought some in the 1960s while living in Pittsburgh PA.
They were made in Japan. All metal.
Grain of wheat bulbs.

I especially liked their cantilevered grade crossing signals, 4 signal target signal bridges (one color per target signal), and semaphores (solenoid operated - how could one get yellow to appear?)

Are these still available anywhere?
