Hi All,
Started laying track on my mid size sectional HO layout last night then hit a snag. Section joints. The way I see it I have two options:
Option1: Lay track such that there's a single joint over the section. My problem with this is that vertical deflections between the two sections no matter how small will be a potential for derailments.
Option2: Use a short straight piece of track about 4" long over the section joint. My problem with this is that there are now two joins in the track and joins are always a potential for derailment.
While my track laying is not flawless I dont think its completely crap.
Just want to hear what everyone else thinks. What is the better solution?
Thanks in advance!
