I just swapped these wheels out for metal wheels. Theses have been running for at least 20 years, possibly 30.
They will go into the plastic wheel box until I can find something to do with them.

You could always paint them and use for flatbed loads with some dunnage, or laying around the layout by a maintenence yard, even as scrap loads.
