After disassembling a Proto 2000 GP9 this afternoon, I managed to lose two small screws from the loco. I have an assortment of maybe 1,000 screws, but not ones that would replace the missing two.

Does anyone offer an assort of replacement screws for Proto, KATO, Athearn and others short of going to the manufacture for replacement and hoping there in stock?

Thanks.

Greg

It used to be that all you needed was various lengths of 2-56er's. Not any more. The worst though is when they use fine thread screws to secure coupler box covers and truck pivots into plastic, without having cut a thread in the first place. Guaranteed to strip the plastic out of the hole with the screw when removing.
