Scratch Built w/Lego's

While I'm waiting for my Trainroom to be built I have been playing around w/Legos for Structures for the layout. So far I have put together about 15 buildings. I needed this to keep my Brain Sharp & to keep busy. I moved up here to Ga. not knowing what I was going to do since Oct. of 22. If I never use them it's a start for other scratcbuilt structures & Bridges & other things. 2-21-23 The 1st one is a Skyscraper, 2nd one is a Hotel or apartment & the 3rd one that I just finished today is a modern Coal loading facility. Has anyone else ever tried this?

I made 3 more items yesterday & today, but didn't have anything for the roofs, so I went to my favororite Dollar Tree this morning & bought enough roof panels to finish everything. Here's a double warehouse for unloading & loading Box cars. There's 2 pieces for both sides of the track. One is a building for unloading trucks in the back & enough doors in the front to load boxcars. Until I get the layout started I won't know how far apart to set them. I'll also add a dock to each building on the rail side. I also built a tall Control Tower last night & this morning. It's 19" high by 3&1/2" deep on the base. The tall structure is 2&1/2" wide & 1&1/4" deep & the glass surround on top is 2&1/2" by 2&1/2". I had to cut a special Lego base for the roof w/my Dremel tool & a cutting blade. I also built another on that's not as high but the rest of the dimensions are about the same as this one.

here's all of the Items that I built since Nov. of 22. This was the start of Scratchbuilt & I learned a lot about interlocking Bricks, base plates. brick sizes & how you can spread them apart w/out a brace. How to hold up a roof w/out it giving way in the middle & my Next big build as soon as my order comes in from Amazon is a large Fort/Castle. Everything in these pictures was built out of big bags of Bricks except the Empire State Building which is really N Scale, But for a background building theis 1 will work fine. The 1st pictures of 3 is a 2 track Bridge, the 2nd Pictures of 3 is an Engine Shed that will hold 4 tracks(I hope), the 3rd picture of 2 will be a Truck freight loading warehouse, The 4th Picture picture of 2 is the Train Station & the Empire Building I didn't get posted was I didn't know that you could only post 10 pictures at a time. I'll be sure to remember that.

Here's the Empire State Building from a Kit which gave me a fit because some parts were missing but I have learned how to fix that problem w/parts from other Kits I have built that are not for the layout. Also I wanted to let you know I don't buy kits anymore because the price has gone up by 30 to 40% since January of 23. Amazon's prices are the cheapest I've found so far. If you don't have Prime which I don't if you order more than $25.00 at a time you get free shipping if you're not in a hurry for something. Also if you need the dimensions on any of these just let me know. I buy a lot of Parts for different buildings. It takes a lot of looking on Amazon to find them sometimes, but if your not in a hurry you'll find them. Some Items you can't get from Amazon, so I get them from the different Dollar Tree's & some of the Dollar Tree stuff is half of what Lego's price is. When I get the layout started I buy lots of stuff from DT anyway. 2-25-23 & always look at the prices at DT because now they have started charging $1.25 for Dollar Stuff & they also charge 3 to 5 bucks for other stuff.
