Both these boxcars claim to be 50 feet long according to the length stated on the labels. Who among us has the answer to this amazing paradox of apparent miscalculation? :)

The Atlas car is definitely a 40 ft car. My guess is the box label is wrong........I have seen lots of examples of that.

I agree. Has to be a misprint on the box. The first one is definitely a 40' car.
 
Okay thanks all.....it makes sense to me now. Glad it's a misprint because at least now both boxcars can continue to live in the collection since they are still correct scale. Didn't want to have to put one down.....so to speak. Happy ending! :D
