House Mother, Cheerleader
Last weekend we visited the GWAATS (formerly GATS) at the Del Mar Fairgrounds north of San Diego. "Kid in a candy shop" described me pretty well. Of course my main interest was in the G-Scale layouts and vendors, but there were booths featuring books, apparel, and everything in trains from Z to #1.

I didn't come away empty-handed.

The water tower is from Aristo-Craft and will live on the backyard layout. The train is radio-controlled, has a rechargeable battery, and is made by Playmobil for kids 4 and up. Believe me, the granddaughters are gonna have to fight me for it. :D

It runs like silk on the LGB track outdoors, but it came with enough plastic track to build a pretty nice pike on the living room floor. For now it's under the Christmas tree on a four-foot-diameter circle. Gramma can't wait for the kids to come over and play!
