Snarky Old Fart (in training)
And the verdict is in

Doc said welcome to the club. Your age is how likely you are to experience at least one. I'm 59 1/2 so I got into the 60-year-old 60% chance a few months early.

Need to watch for a bunch more floaters or more unexplained flashes of light. If those happen, call the doc or hit the ER.... Mine is a small one that doesn't need action, but they can get a LOT worse.

Wife said she's taking me to Texas Roadhouse here in the Fort for dinner. You know, for being a good boy at the doctor.

TR is always busy here, so we're leaving in a few minutes. Gotta let the wife drive there since my eyes are still dilated.

When I first saw the headline I thought it was referring to an ailment also known as anal glaucoma ,
a.k.a.
I can't see my ass doing anything,,,usually going to work.

Glad to hear you were a good boy today, Best wishes that the Dr. is wrong (and you're just goofy).

Mike, Troy, and anyone else having a big Thanksgiving gathering, enjoy it. One day they will stop coming. This year my daughters are cooking thier own Thanksgiving meals. We will only have my son and his wife this year.
This year is the smallest gathering that my family has had in years, early 70's at least before any of me or my siblings got married. There will only be 22 folks gathered at my brother's place. By comparison, last year when I hosted and had the dinner at my daughter's home, there was 40 people. We've had as many as 52, all either directly descended from Mom and Dad, or married into the family. Part of the absences is due to my wife, both daughters and their husbands and three grandkids are all vacationing at South Padre Island this year. Many other nieces and nephews and families are spending time at the alternate parents homes this year.

I picked up a case of Miller beer, a bottle of Evan WIlliams Burbon and a bottle of Paul Masson Peach Brandy to have over the holidays. Anyone thirsty or hungry stop by.

Willie and Patrick, I like how your wives think, tell them I said Merry Christmas!
LOUIS -- that's a 3-0 count -- the 23lb turkey gives me a walk!
(only about 6 million steps to go and i;ll be there)

I love TR's food, but the noise level sometimes gets to me.
We have one five minutes from us, it's great!

Noise, I can't say it bothers me; I can't hear much of it. I don't like a lot of commotion around me when I eat. An old lady was alone there the last time we went. They sang happy birthday to her, and they were very enthusiastic. I was happy and sad for her all at the same time. The commotion did not bother me in that case.

Sherrel, funny you should tag me with that pic, cuz here I was years later, still under a car. The lil tyke sitting there is #1 son, now 34 years old! (IIRC this was 1991) The car was a Chevy Monza, V6 auto and I was adding the rear sway bar from a V8 Monza Spyder. That car handled like a slot car after putting the heavier bars on it.

As long as you’re not suffering from cranial-rectal inversion…
