Your best bet for parts will probably be E-bay. It may be a long wait. From what I understand, these were originally built by Rivarossi, or AC Gilbert before they started contracting out their HO to other builders.

Hmm. The main reason I want to restore this one is cause it was my fathers, lol. I'm hopin I find parts.
 


I'm not saying its impossible, its just not going to be easy. These locos haven't been produced since 1959 IIRC, and the ONLY source for parts is going to be places like train shows, E-bay and believe it or not, even garage sales.

I would also look for substitute sources like different engines that are still close to the basic design of the original. Like the old AHM docksider, or another make of a tank switcher.

This is why I came here, lol. You have ideas I wouldn't think of. I also might look into scratchbuildiing a new cab as well..
