Hi guys,
i want to repower my walthers trainline GP9 locomotive, whats the best way, i mean, which motor/ flywheel is the best for this project?

Any particular reason why you want to repower the model? From all accounts, the Trainline series run pretty good with the standard power.

UP2CSX: well, i pulls about 25 cars, but runs not that quiet so i thought to insert dieffrent motor in it, also the flywheel too small for me.

You might just pull out the Walthers motor and give it a good cleaning and lube job. Same with the gear towers - Walthers is notorious for using too much and too heavy a grease on the gears. Check all the gears for burrs and file them smooth since at least a few of the teet wil be rough. I'm not sure why you think the flywheels are too small - I don't think you'll get much larger flywheels in that engine. You can eliminate most of the noise and make the engine run smoother just by cleaning and relubing everything. I have several Trainline models and they run really quietly with some additional work.
