ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.
I've done some more work on my Railflyer GP38-2. Some of this stuff was posted in the WPF a few weeks back, but the tread and a couple of other things are new.
I finally got around to assembling the Railflyer Hood Door kit I got awhile ago, it's a multimedia approach to building the engine and radiator room doors. The kit I assembled is a test run and while it didn't have any issues as far as it's representation of the prototype, it was a bit of a bear to assemble. I mentioned a few of the issues I had with it to Christopher at Railflyer, and he is going to make some changes and re-run it. Once those changes are made I believe it will cut assembly time down to about 10 minutes per side.
It's definitely a different method for building a hood, and I like it. Photo's are on my blog at: http://milepost15.wordpress.com/
