today i was putting in a decoder, wired up the trucks, motor and speaker. took it over to the track and it ran ok. i had not yet secured the speaker. well, as it ran back and forth i decided to quit holding the speaker in place. it fell off and i guess it shorted on the rail, made a quick static noise before i shut it off. now no sound. thought maybe the speaker, but no sound with a different speaker. think i know the answer, but thought i would ask. did i blow out the equalizer. sound portion, or will it reset after being off the track? or did i just convert it into an expensive non sound decoder.
