Do you need a seperate Power Pack to have a yard? I am going to have 2-3 Yard Tracks.

Hi John, well that question just generates more questions, like how many loco's do you plan to operate? Are you going to divide the layout into blocks? Is the yard in a different block from the mainline? Will more than one loco be operating at the same time?
If you are only going to run one loco on the main and yard the answer is no, and no electrical blocks are necessary.
If you want to run more than one loco at the same time you do need more than one power source and you do need electrical blocks.
If you want to two locos on the layout, but run only one at a time, you need only one power source, with isolated electrical blocks that can be switched in and out of the circuit.
We could get you a more direct answer to your query if you let us know just what it is you want to do. Hope this helps, if not ask us a more direct question.

Willis,
Sorry for the late reply railfanning. I plan on running one unit at a time. It is going to be a Circle and have a small yard.
