I'm sure some of you have purchased a RTR GP38-2 by Athearn and noticed that they don't come with snow plows or MU hoses. My question is, who would be the best to buy these items from for a UP GP38-2? Details west has some parts but do that look accurate and fit?

I always try the Walthers catalog or website, then ebay.
Can't think of who makes the ones I've used...
If Details West didn't make it, the prototype never had it.
The biggest issue is getting some prototype photos to make sure you get the right plow. Every railroad used slightly different plows, even on different classes of the same engines. MU cables were pretty constant for all EMD engines but, once again, every railroad used different arrangements and numbers of cables on each type of engine.
thanx everyone for the info. I'm going to take some closer shots of the Geeps down at the yard this evening and download the Details West catolog and try to pick the best match.
