There was a recent thread where someone was looking for info on module legs made from PVC plastic, and was wondering if they could be hinged. I couldn't find the thread so I started this one.

Just received in the mail today several back issues of RMC that I never got in my subscription; they've been having difficulties with their distributor here in Canada.

Anyway, the May 2010 issue has a great article on building lightweight modules, and shows how the author made foldable legs from PVC pipe. Really clever work, and is well illustrated. Might be an idea to look for this issue to see for yourself.

as long as heavier schedule pipe is used and the construction properly braced, this is excellent solution.

Bob that was me. Thanks for the heads up on where I read that article. I'm still thinking of it.

At the local hardware store the fold up legs were $35 each - PVC would be the go if it works.
