The Chief
These photos were taken last week during the Train Fest that was held at the State History Museum in Tacoma, WA - Home of the PSMRE permanent display layout. In the first series, I focused on several shots of the main line that is modeled between Tacoma and Auburn. In this series, I have chosen to exclusively select shots from our Hill line from East Auburn to Stampede, representing the NP main line over Stampede Pass.

The Mainstreeter - The first of NP's daily passenger trains, has just entered the layout from the Martin staging yard. The train is just exiting the West Portal at Stampede.

The Mainstreeter is making a station stop at Lester, WA. The following passenger train The North Coast will not stop at Lester, but will continue onto East Auburn for its first stop.

Rolling into Eagle Gorge, the train is about to stop at Kanaskat, WA and not only waiting are passengers, but an NP EB manifest in the siding.
