At one time the C.B.&Q. use 129 lb and 136 lb rail on some of its trackage, versus 112 lb. most other manline places. Any idea what the heavier weights would correspond to in HO code? Conversely, what "weights" do Code 70, 83 and 100 correspond to?
This should be pretty close:
Code 100 = 0.1" -156 lb. rail
Code 83 = 0.083 “ – 132 lb. rail
Code 70 = 0.07 “ – 100 lb. rail
Code 55 = 0.055” – 75 lb. rail
Thank you, Rico. I guess the G.G.& W. Division of the "Q" needed the 156 lb rail, and I'm not about to pull my Code 100 all up and start over.

But if those using Code 83 are wondering if it's prototypical anywhere...yeah, it was. I think the Pennsy used some stuff nearly 156 lbs. somewhere, IIRC.
