Spotted this odd engine this morning near Cin-Day Rd in West Chester, OH. The engine has no markings other than the number board of 2017. Looked like a mash up of 4 different engines. Any ideas??
Why jump on the bandwagon, when you can ride the Short Bus?
I believe it is a RailPower Hybrid/Genset demonstrator of some type. The hood looks to be railpower. Road number 2017 doesn’t come up on Google though.

Certainly has the Railpower nose. I believe those are Blomberg "M-II" trucks, which is unusual for Railpower. They usually go with GE trucks.

Probably an experimetal with hybrid diesel generator/battery. UP has or had one, somewhat similar cab and nose. BNSF got hold of one and has been doing experimenting with Hydrogen cells. (bottom of page).

This one appears to have radiators, so an IC engine likely. The 2017 number looks suspiciously as using the build year as a road #.
