So I installed one of these in a nice Atlas Master GP38. The sound worked for a little bit, now it's screwed up.
No sound when moving forward. When moving in reverse there's a low sound, but it gets garbled and is clearly not right. What's odd is that the motor function and headlight/rear light work fine.
So, what happened? Any ideas?
did you try and push function 8 and see if the sound came back?

No, but F8's the mute. If that had been on I don' t think it would have made any sound and it was making some sound, but garbled- when moving in reverse.
I'd try a reset, prog CV 8 to 8 usually does it.
i wouldnt think it would have made any sound, either, but might be worth a try. maybe a speaker wire came loose?
Morning,
Just completed my first install using the soundtraxx in a atlas GP40 all went well til time for a test...plenty of sound-no movement ??? removed the body shell, back on the track forward -reverse - sound and all was good. The only thing I can point to would have been a pinch at the motorhook up, put tape behind the pick up on the motor. Shell back on and it works. Sound not there , re-check speaker hook up on the board. Good luck.
