Anyone print there own decals? Just wondering what you use for software and paper and printer. Any help would be great thanks
Ben

Ben- the decals I have seen have been done on decal paper using images from MS Powerpoint.
Other programs that accept clip art and words will likely work.
One source of decal paper is Micro Mark:

Due to the price of decal paper, I suggest you print the decal on your ink jet printer first to check sizes.

You can use Word, Excel, Paint, or just about any program that either import or create the fonts and logos you need. I like the Micro Mark decal paper. I've used the Testors decal paper and the decal does not stay together as well when it's wet as the Micro Mark paper. The important thing is to give the decal paper a good coaf fixative spray like the #82858 Fixative Spray at Micro Mark before you put the decal in water. You can also use Dullcote but I've found the glossy fixative spray works better.

Anothe option is dry transfer lettering if you only need letters and not logos. They come in a wide variety of colors and fonts and they are cheaper than printing out decals yourself.

I've been making my own decals for about 5 years. I use the Micro-mark paper too. I have a pack of the clear & a pack of the white back. I make rolling stock & engine decals w/the clear back & a lot of building signs w/the white back.
I spray mine after they are made w/clear spray paints in the can. It has to be real clear & I use spray on 2 or 3 real lite coats. It's glossy. Not WM spray cans. Krylon Crystal Clear. Ther numbers for the paper are; 83378 white & 83373 clear. Mine are made by Avery. I use Print Shop #12 to do mine.
Hope this helps.
I also use a lot of Dry Transfers. Lot easier & less chance of making any mistakes.
Decal paper ain't cheap.
