Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Took an out-of-town friend to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn yesterday. I know there are a bunch of car aficionados here, and I assume there are some plane guys, so I took bunches of pics. Here are a few:

Fantastic Beady and the Oscar Mayer car too! Thanks so very much for posting them for us!

The one of the black car with a headlight in the middle of the hood, that's a Tucker. The middle light turns as the steering wheel turns, to help on corners.

I pointed that one out to my wife because one of our beagles is named Tucker. I did not know the headlight turned. That must be some interesting linkage.

Thanks again Beady, next best thing to being there ourselves!

Beady .. Is that big C & O locomotive a 2-6-6-6? If so, that is a HUGE engine!

Loved the Tucker ... actually saw one in person way back when.

The race car with the #1 on it reminds me of when my father used to take me to those races at the State Fair Grounds when I was bout 6-7.
Boy were those things noisy! and slung mud and dirt everywhere running on a dirt track!

I'll have to put that museum on my road trip too!
