painting caboose

Will be painting a roundhouse HO scale caboose with windows in it. I have painted before and added the windows later, but this is a second hand caboose with windows glued on the inside. What in the best method to cover the windows in preparation of paint or maybe I should say the best tape to use? Thanks.

I cut out small pc's of green frog tape to fit,but I think almost any tape will work.

On a few I removed the window glass do all my painting then replace the glazing with mico scope glass.

Thanks for the tip GN. The windows pushed out very easily, I thought they would have been glued in more solid. Now to paint and replace the windows. Thanks again for the input.
