I cannot get this shell to come off of this new P2K GP38-2 that I bought! I couldn't run it today at the club due to me not being able to put a decoder into it...As a matter of fact, the only thing I managed to do is break off the cab sun shade:mad:! Anyways, i have removed the two screws from under the coupler boxes as said in the instructions. It then says, "gently grab the body between the grilles and lift off the body". To get it off (due to the fact there was nowhere else to grab it), I partially threaded a screw...Only a few threads under where the front and rear couplers would be, and tried to pull with moderate forceagainst the body. The front started to lift as did the rear, but it seems as if something in the middle of the body is still holding the body on! I am confused as to what it may be! In the exploded view of the loco, there are no tabs or extra screws, nor are they listed in the already vague instructions! Can someone please help me! I really want to run this loco!

There are two screws between the trucks and the fuel tank that have to be removed to get the shell off. They are partially obscured by the trucks and hard to see.

Wow! What a speedy reply! I really appreciate it, but feel kinda dumb now! I took some other screws out of the bottom earlier, and I seen those two, but figured...Nah! Surely those have nothing to do with it! LOL! I got it off now...I even found a article online about it! Stupid instructions...And my wife wonders why us guys seldom even look at them!

Just gotta love that statement, its even worse when they ask "did you hear what I just said" and you say "yes Honey" and they say "OK Tell me" and you dont have a clue.
I never say "yes hunny", I just say, "Speak up next time, you know I'm deaf..."
