Year before last I was on the road with my sister and brother in law and we stopped at an antique dealer. I walked around and snapped photos. These are some great photos .. JMO .. and there is lots of good modeling material here. I find that very last photo very interesting .. all kinds of things happening there ..

where in nc did you see these we go to the nc mountains quite often

We had been to a Z meet at Fontana Village. That's in NC off of 29 .. "The DRAGON". About 40mi West of Asheville. We were heading back .. I'll have to ask my sister and see if she remembers. I would like to know myself and take a trip back there for more detailed photos.

maybe we can make a trip up there sometime and go by hendersonville to the apple valley RxR club they have a super all dcc layout in the old depot

This sounds familiar to me!! I just spent an agonizing amount of time trying to figure out the same on my photos!! :eek::D:D
 
Nice photos, Ed. That building is a great example of strucures tending to stay up once they are built until something catastrophic happens. It looks like a real good wind would take that one down.
